Autumn Nights of Art & Fashion in The Big Apple

Top fashion model Karlie Kloss with the grande dame of fashion, Carolina Herrera

Admirers, friends and families gathered at Omars, a chic, private dining club in Greenwich Village, to toast the incomparable Carolina Herrera who introduced her recent book, 35 Years of Carolina Herrera Design, filled with stunning images from her illustrious career. I am delighted that Carolina is also a participant in the documentary, THE INCOMPARABLE ROSE HARTMAN.

TEFAF Takes Over The Armory

In October TEFAF (the European Fine Art Fair housed in Mastricht, Holland since 1988) opened at the Park Avenue Armory with works from antiquity to the 1920’s.

With items ranging from thousands to millions of dollars, 94 stunning galleries attracted Manhattan’s creme-de-la creme to its opening night benefit that benefited The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. For the first time, the second floor of the armory was open to the public.

After visiting dozens of art fairs around the world, I can say that this NY edition of TEFAF, with its scrims of ivory-gauzy panels, exquisitely designed booths, must be added to any culture-lover’s and people-watching calendars.
